The Cheder Levi Yitzchok Inc was established in 2010 to provide quality Jewish education in accordance with the teachings and guidelines of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, predominantly for families living in Melbourne. Initially set up as a program of religious instruction, the Cheder became a fully registered, government approved school at the beginning of the 2017 school year.  We are now seeking a General Studies Teacher to join our dedicated teaching staff.

Broadly your responsibilities will include:

- Planning, delivery and implementation of the selected curriculum ensuring classes are achieving the requisite learning outcomes and skills as stipulated in general studies for allocated classes.
- Managing the delivery, assessment and reporting of curriculum areas
- Teaching according to the educational needs, abilities and achievement of the individual students and groups of students
- Adhering to the annual assessment schedule of key learning areas in Literacy and Numeracy
- Providing evidence of all teaching and learning as requested by your direct report.
- Work with the Student Services department for all students identified for additional supports.
- Communicating, consulting and co-operating with other members of the school staff, and parents/guardians to ensure the best interest of students
- Ensuring all documentation is up to date and available on request by authorities.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Relevant Bachelor qualification and at least 10 years relevant teaching experience
- Passionate about fostering academic and emotional growth of developing minds
- Strong communication and sense of creativity
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- VIT Registration

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

- Bachelor Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Teaching : 10 years (preferred)
