Join Our Junior School Team | Commencing January 2026
We're looking for a committed and compassionate Learning Services Teacher to join our Junior School on a full-time, ongoing basis, starting at the beginning of the 2026 school year.
In this dynamic role, you'll play a vital part in shaping inclusive learning experiences across multiple year levels. You'll work closely with students who require additional support, designing and delivering personalised programs that foster growth, confidence, and success. Your work will span whole-class settings and small groups, making every day varied and rewarding.
What You'll Do
- Support student learning in classrooms and individually, including assistance with personal care and mobility when needed.
- Collaborate with teachers to plan and implement engaging, differentiated educational programs.
- Lead small group and whole-class activities, contributing creative ideas to enhance learning outcomes.
- Monitor and report progress, maintaining open and respectful communication with families and staff.
- Engage in professional development, staff meetings, and Student Support Group (SSG) discussions.
- Champion a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment, actively participating in school life and community events.
What We're Looking For
- Be a qualified and currently registered teacher (VIT registration) and be able to demonstrate suitable tertiary qualifications in teaching and their methods and an accredited qualification in special education or relevant field
- Have demonstrated experience working with students in schools with ASD, ADHD, Specific Learning Disabilities and other identified learning needs
- MACQLIT literacy intervention training and or a Maths intervention would be beneficial
- Have experience with programs for gifted students, this is an advantage
- Anaphylaxis Management training and Level II First Aid Certificate is essential
