**About the role**:
Talent Focus are seeking an experienced Production Manager to be a key individual of the Leadership team, with a direct reporting line to the CFO.
You will drive quality standards, productivity and DIFOT, labour efficiencies and waste reduction on site. A high priority focus will be on simplifying the production schedule and developing teams for additional shift work. The role will manage the production process according to quality assurance standards, specifications, cost expectations and the best utilisation of capacity and resources. To succeed it will be critical that the incumbent can manage and lead successful teams operating over two shifts.
**Key Responsibilities will include**:
- Manage the production plan, on-time, and on-budget.
- Hands on leadership of the ‘day to day’ production floor operations
- Maintain the weekly rostering and timesheet software for all production staff.
- Work collaboratively with Logistics in production planning.
- Conduct effective regular Production team meetings to review performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Identification of production line improvement opportunities.
- Provide stewardship to the Production Managers (PM)
- Provide support to the PM's for workforce planning and production rostering.
- Drive and lead the Recruitment of key personnel either through labor hire and online platforms.
- Train, mentor and develop your team into a multi-skilled and flexible workforce.
- Ensure safe working conditions and ensure the plant complies with all relevant legislation, local requirements and to all appropriate safety, environmental and food quality standards.
- Ensure all staff are informed of their food safety and regulatory responsibilities.
- Develop an efficient production environment with mínimal waste.
- Lead and implement new projects with the leadership team.
- Ensure adherence to product SOPs and recipes.
- Weekly Reporting on KPI's, staff performance, budgets.
**Selection criteria**:
- **Bakery / Manufacturing management experience is essentia**l**, along with the ability to influence key stakeholders in delivering the best result for the business.
- 5 years manufacturing experience in the Food and Beverage industry (Bakery preferred).
- Demonstrated experience supporting continuous improvement.
- Take the lead in monitoring, identify, and execute processes to drive continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to prioritize workflow, while managing projects in a timely manner.
- Ability to hold employees accountable to KPI’s and when not aligned to the company values, policies, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of GMP
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with a strong results orientation
- Ability to work with a variety of different stakeholders.
- Experience in working cross-functionally and managing / leading large teams.
- Natural leadership qualities
- Strong coaching, reporting and communication skills.
**MUST currently reside in Australia and have full time unrestricted working rights.
