A Victorian metro local council is seeking a skilled Project Officer to coordinate and lead the delivery of the Rainbow Tick Accreditation project.

This role will report to the Manager, Community Development and will be responsible for delivering the project in line with the council's strategic objectives ensuring Council is recognised as being safe and inclusive for all employees and the community they serve.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and lead the delivery of the Rainbow Tick Accreditation project Develop and strengthen partnerships with key LGBTIQA+ external stakeholders, including key community members, to ensure representation and support within Council and across the municipality.
- Liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective operations and coordinate relevant projects within the portfolio areas.
- Provide advice if required on wider Gender Equity and Prevention of Violence projects and programs where relevant and required.
- Ensure a current working knowledge of government initiatives and priorities, relevant research, and good practices

**Key Requirements**:

- Degree qualification such as social sciences, community engagement or development, or a related discipline with demonstrated relevant experience working with diverse communities using an intersectional lens within various community development frameworks.
- Diverse and extensive experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of social policy and programming.
- Knowledge of community development frameworks and processes and experience in engaging and working effectively with communities.
- Highly developed project management skills with demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects and programs.
- Highly developed interpersonal and written communication skills for diverse audiences, including the preparation of reports, policy, and strategy planning.
