The EWPA (Elevating Work Platform Association of Australia) is the Not-for-Profit peak body for rental companies, manufacturers, suppliers, end-users, trainers and specialised support services. The EWPA’s vision is to support and advance a safe and strong access industry in Australia.

The EWPA supports its members to provide a safe and skilled workforce, whilst assisting with safety and compliance requirements through training and resources. The head office has its own RTO whilst also supporting the Hire and Rental Industry Association (HRIA) and the Telescopic Handlers Association (TSHA).

**About the role**:

As the Operations Manager, you will report directly to the CEO and form part of the Senior Leadership Team. You will ensure the Association operates to best practice policies and procedures through the development, implementation and continuous improvement of office procedures.

**Your key result areas are**:

- Implement and deliver on strategic goals and project initiatives
- Operational and financial management
- Ensure operational efficiencies through up-to-date policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships

**About the Person**:

You will have a proven track record of strong performance within a high-level Management role ideally within a membership association or peak body. You will be professional, and outcomes-focused with the ability to drive the team to bring the strategy to life. You will be a proactive doer, always looking for ways to improve efficiencies to support the business and CEO.

An understanding and interest in the construction and/or hire rental industries is highly desirable.

**Duties include**:

- Drive the strategy and implement actions from National meetings
- Build relationships with industry stakeholders, including:

- Manufacturers, end users, hire companies, owners, trainers, safe work authorities and other related associations
- Drive continuous improvement with a focus on our use of technology
- Work with the CEO to drive performance and new initiatives
- Ensure the Associations operate to best practice policies and procedures through the development, implementation and continuous improvement
- Manage operational performance of the National Office
- Drive ongoing improvement Association benefits and services

**Experience/Essential Criteria**:

- Established experience in a high-level Management role ideally within an association or peak body
- Qualifications and/or previous experience in aspects of Association or Business Management
- Proven experience in developing and improving office procedures
- Good personal organisational skills, including the ability to plan work and multitask
- Proven track record of strong performance in high-level Management roles
- Technically capable and strong in MS Office suite
- Knowledge of best practices and corporate governance
