Proudly serving Australians since 1928, the Royal Flying Doctor Service provides emergency aeromedical and health care services for people in rural and remote regions across Australia.
Mobile Patient Care (MPC) is a service division of RFDS Victoria, providing non-emergency patient transport services in both rural and metropolitan locations across Victoria and New South Wales.
**Position Purpose**
The Supply Chain & Stores Coordinator, will play a vital role in the Enablement team, which oversees the coordination and purchasing of necessary stock and assets in a cost-effective and timely manner. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain sufficient supplies and equipment to ensure a safe and productive organization.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with vendors, suppliers, and distributors to enhance the supply chain and reflect operational needs. This will involve negotiating contracts, tracking inventory levels, and coordinating deliveries to ensure that the organization has the right materials at the right time.
To excel in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. You should be a proactive problem-solver with a keen attention to detail, able to identify potential issues and take action to resolve them before they become problems.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Manage procurement activities, including establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, purchasing stock and equipment, creating purchase orders, and ensuring procurement administration tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Oversee inventory management, including inventory administration, distribution of stock to MPC branches, medication procurement and distribution, commissioning new equipment assets, and managing fleet and equipment replacement.
- Monitor and manage MPC branch expenditure to ensure efficient use of resources and compliance with budgetary constraints.
- Maintain the pandemic tracker, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of inventory and supplies, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Manage the Federation stockpile inventory to ensure timely and effective distribution of resources in response to emergency situations.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and potential conflicting priorities
- Open, approachable and effective communication style
- Able to engage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Have a proactive and can do attitude
- Working knowledge of business continuity planning desirable
- Working knowledge of non-emergency patient transport regulations and equipment. (Certificate IV in Frontline Management or equivalent is desirable)
- Working knowledge of OH&S/Workplace Standards, with an ability to identify and mitigate Risk/Hazards
- Strong computer skills across all Microsoft Packages
