**Your New Role**
The Public Relations Lead is a key member of the team responsible for leading and coordinating public relations, consumer media and content development in the Corporate Affairs & Investment Relations group.
This role will help position, promote and protect the Fund’s reputation in earned and owned channels, with a particular focus on engaging with consumer media to support AustralianSuper’s growth.
**Key duties include but are not limited to**:
- Supporting the delivery of coordinated public relations campaigns to reinforce AustralianSuper’s position as Australia’s leading fund for members.
- Build and enhance relationships with key consumer media channels and representatives to support the successful execution of the Fund’s public relations and consumer media activity.
- Monitor the consumer media landscape for the Fund to support the provision of insights to the Chief Officer Strategy and Head of Corporate Affairs & Investment Relations to inform the Fund’s positioning on key issues and help identify opportunities to enhance the Fund’s reputation through public relations activity and consumer media engagement.
- Prepare and publish content that is aligned to the Fund’s corporate narratives, advocacy agendas and advances the Fund’s reputation with target audiences, including content to support corporate communication and advocacy campaigns.
- Develop compelling content to support digital public relations campaigns.Work closely with our agency partners to support and guide the development of PR plans and campaigns.
**What you’ll need**:
- Relevant public relations experience preferably in an agency setting or in similar in-house role in a highly regulated industry is required in this role.
- A strong news sense with relevant consumer media relationships is essential.
- Demonstrated experience executing public relations activity that achieves measurable outcomes and drives engagement with consumers.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and engage positively with colleagues, external agency partners, as well as an ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of the financial services and/or superannuation industry is highly regarded.Experience understanding and translating member insights into public relations campaigns and content.
