Our client is currently looking for a **Data Analyst** to support the continual operations in support of the Centralised Processing contract for Directorate of Platform Services.

The Directorate of Platform Services (DPS) provides assurance, compliance and governance of the services being delivered to Defence under the Centralised Processing (CP) contract. Through the CP contract, the Chief Information Officer Group (CIOG) has established a single integrated capability for the management provision of CP infrastructure in 11 domestic and 4 international data centres.

The CP contract is, the operation and sustainment of, Defence's ICT infrastructure. CP delivered the core offering of an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) to select components to support Defence on an enterprise level for Information Security Domains (ISDs) SECRET and below.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Undertake qualitative and quantitative research to identify trends and formulate responses to assist in determining business priorities;
- Build and maintain key relationships with users, technical staff and stakeholders to determine and resolve issues;
- Provide accurate advice about technical issues and recommending solutions to assist with specifying business requirements for new or existing solutions;
- Monitor and coordinate the resolution of business issues and then report on analytical issues to stakeholders;
- Provide reports as required, including management, customer requested analysis and a range of other business analysis reports;
- Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of business analysis techniques and practices to ensure that an effective service is provided to the business; and
- Support and participate in the change process to deliver an enhanced service.

**Skills and Experience**
**(Highly Desirable)** - The Commonwealth emphasises that the position requires the following skills & experience:

- Previous experience in utilising Defence's ICT systems including the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Information Technology Service Management
(ITSM) tools, Cognos reporting; and
- Proven ability to process large amount of data and present it clearly to both technical and non-technical personnel with issues and recommendations.

**(Desirable)** - The Supplier Personnel should also have previous experience and detailed knowledge of the Defence ICT environment and should have the following demonstrated experience:

- Excellent documentation skills;
- Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills and interrogating data;
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations including running workshops;
- Advanced level in use of Microsoft Products (Power BI, SQL, Excel & Word);
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills;
- A history of leading and supporting successful projects;
- A range of experience in business analysis in complex information system environments;
- Good understanding of Information Security in a complex environment;
- Experience in developing audit or quality assurance templates and reporting dashboards.
- Understanding and interpreting Service Levels and reporting; and
- Understanding and verifying billing and invoicing for approval.
