**About the Role**:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Food Safety Manager to oversee and maintain all aspects of food safety, compliance, and quality assurance across our production site and supply chain. This role is critical in ensuring adherence to NSW Food Authority regulations and internal standards while driving a strong food safety culture across the team.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Manage, implement, and maintain HACCP plans, Food Safety Programs, and GMP procedures.
- Lead and prepare for external audits, including those by NSW Food Authority and customer partners.
- Conduct routine hygiene inspections across production lines, storage, and dispatch areas.
- Oversee labelling compliance, raw material and finished product checks, and recall readiness.
- Develop, review, and improve food safety policies and procedures.
- Plan and deliver training to all staff on food safety, hygiene, and allergen management.
- Investigate product complaints, non-conformances, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Conduct environmental monitoring, including swab testing and temperature checks, with clear documentation.
- Generate regular reports on food safety KPIs and performance metrics.
- Collaborate closely with production, maintenance, and management teams to support continuous improvement.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Assurance, or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in food safety management within a manufacturing environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of Australian food safety legislation, standards, and best practices.
- HACCP Certification and Food Safety Supervisor accreditation (required).
- Demonstrated experience in preparing for and leading external audits.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience delivering staff training and fostering a safety-focused culture.
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
