**About the Role**
As the Executive Assistant to the Mayor & Councillors at Darebin City Council, you will play a vital role in coordinating projects, driving key initiatives, and utilising your exceptional administrative skills to support the Mayor and Councillors.

You will be part of a fun, small team that thrives on a positive and collaborative work environment. Despite our size, we provide crucial support to the organisation, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure community support and the smooth running of operations.

This role offers the opportunity to foster diversity, inclusion, and deliver meaningful outcomes while making a lasting impact within a progressive and supportive team.
- Trusted counsel to the Mayor
- Provide Executive support for the Mayor and Councilors, coordinating activities, managing correspondence, and preparing responses for the Mayor.
- Support the coordination of training requirements and opportunities to ensure effective professional development for Councillors
- Provide effective communication and coordination of information requirements, meeting requests, declarations, documents, EAP, or IT assistance for Councillors
- Lead initiatives on behalf of the Mayor or Corporate Executive Office, working independently on projects from conception to completion.
- Provide pro-active and insightful executive support to the Mayor that strengthens Council’s reputation in the handling of complex and sensitive matters.

**Skills & Experience**
- Strong organisational skills with a proven ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly, coupled with excellent attention to detail and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
- Expert level written and verbal communication skills
