We are a stable business of over 21 years and we specialise in modifying homes for the elderly and mobility impaired.

Reporting to the Director, as Team Leader, your primary responsibilities will be to supervise our Minor Modifications Department who schedule and install standard and custom-made items, such as grab rails, banister rails, hand showers and ramps aswell.

You will need to be able to lead your team to inspire change and process improvement wherever possible and to continue to improve our service delivery to our customers. You will be responsible for the operational and day to day team requirements.

**In this role you will**:

- Provide guidance and direction to a team of office and trades staff
- Support the office with customer queries
- Assist the trades with technical issues
- Understand and communicate measures with OT’s, Trades and Manufacturing
- Resolve problems that arise during the day
- Ensure risks are minimised and work goals are achieved
- Create a positive work environment
- Finding shortfalls in staff
- Conduct team and one on one meetings
- Identify, document and implement change to current procedures and processes
- Provide reporting to the Director
- Conduct performance discussions
- Act as a back up to the office on an as need’s basis
- Interviewing new hires

**You will have**:

- Diploma in Building, Construction or Engineering, Real Estate regarded but not essential
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar team leader role
- Construction and building knowledge regarded but not essential
- Advanced MS Office
- On the spot solutions / quick problem solver
- Logical thinker, multitasker and be analytical
- Strong and supportive communicator
- Effective communication skills, including empathy with a range of customers
- Commitment to motivate and support staff
