**Description**:
Located in Carole Park, we are seeking an experienced Workplace Health and Safety Officer to join our team. This is permanent full-time role, working 38 hours per week Monday to Friday focusing primarily on Compliance.

**Some of your key responsibilities will include**:
Work closely with the WHS Officer - Operations, to ensure safe workplace practices
Review the health and safety management system and develop & implement updates, including standards, policies and procedures and supporting systems, ensuring that all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements and standards are met.
Maintain data, gap analysis, identification of safety trends and reporting to align strategies on improving safety performance
Safety analysis reporting to senior management team
Internal audit systems maintenance and compliance
Maintain existing WHS policy and procedure and create and introduce new WHS policy and procedure to align with changes in business practice and or legislative requirements
Ensure health and safety audits, inspections and investigations are conducted, with appropriate control measures in place
Develop and maintain an effective compliance training program, including introductory & ongoing training
Provide WHS training to assist employees and managers to understand their WHS responsibilities, legislation and known workplace hazards and corresponding safety systems implemented

**Skills and Experiences**:
**To be considered for this role, you will have**:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within safety management systems
- Demonstrated previous experience as a Safety Officer ideally in a manufacturing environment and compliance space
- Previous experience conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.

Excellent report writing and presentation skills
