- Base salary $100K - $120K + super with fortnightly pay
- (4) direct reports in the Quality Team
- Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm

**About Us**

Located in Carrum Downs this manufacturer provides flavour solutions to the food, beverage, and nutraceutical markets across the Asia Pacific and looking for a driven individual who can take ownership of the quality assurance to assist with quality products that are compliant to exceed meet customer's expectation.

You will have the opportunity to be involved in a range of food and beverage products that are manufactured in-house and supplied around the world. This role requires you to lead the quality team of (4) who has technical food or flavour knowledge, a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements, with communication skills and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards throughout the production process.

**Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Train, lead, and mentor (4) members in the quality control and assurance team
- Understanding of health & safety, quality assurance and production requirements
- Implement, streamline, and monitor quality control processes, procedures, and systems
- Manage accurate records of all quality control tests, inspections, and product evaluations
- Ensure compliance with relevant food and flavour regulations and standards
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency
- Manage, conduct, and participate in internal and external audits
- Communicate with internal members daily to achieve required outcomes
- Produce quality products to ensure full support from sales, office to production

**Experience & Qualification**
- Quality Assurance background within a food manufacturing environment
- Attention to detail, strong process systems and focused on achieving outcomes
- Coach, lead, and teach staff within a quality control environment
- Qualification in Food Science or Technology, Food Chemistry, or similar related field
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality management systems
- Communicate to effectively liaise with production, sales suppliers, and regulatory authorises
