**The Role**
The Business Manager position is responsible to the Business Operations Manager for the workforce demand planning, recruiting, managing and reporting to the HALSPO Executive and the broader organisation.
A key outcome for this position is to provide internal and external assurance to guide HALSPO to collaboratively improve management of a workforce that nurtures systems and processes to protect and promote the health, safety and wellbeing of all workers and the broader sustainability of the workplace.
This position will also coordinate varied business operations such as records management, managing teams in a matrixed environment and support broader strategic outcomes for the EL1 Business Operations Manager. This will provide the successful applicant with significant personal development opportunities and enhance their experience and skills for potential future career paths.
**About our Team**
The Heavy Air Lift Systems Program Office (HALSPO) at Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Amberley is an important business unit within the Airlift and Tanker Systems branch of the Aerospace Systems Division. HALSPO is the in-service support agency responsible for sustaining and enhancing the RAAF’s KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport, C-17A Globemaster Heavy Lift Transport, Boeing Business Jet and Falcon 7X Special Purpose Aircraft capabilities for Air Force.
These fleets form the backbone of the Strategic Air Mobility capability within Defence and are utilised for roles ranging from humanitarian support to high-end operations. In this role you will enjoy an outwardly engaged environment with multiple complex stakeholder groups from within defence and wider Industry, whilst working as part of the Business Management Team within HALSPO.
