This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing Australian business with a global footprint. Having achieved major milestones, this Private Equity owned business is now at a further inflexion point in its trajectory, which has created a greenfield opportunity for an experienced lawyer to lead and manage the legal function with both strategic and operational focus.
Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the CEO and broader Executive Leadership Team, you will provide sound commercial legal advice and manage legal risk in relation to contracts with suppliers, customers and partners. In this rapidly growing and complex business, you will work autonomously and at pace, leading the negotiation and close of deals in Australia and overseas. You will also assist with managing company secretarial activities.
This pivotal role will suit a passionate and commercially minded lawyer with 10 plus years’ corporate/commercial law experience, and most importantly, experience in leading the negotiation of customer and supplier contracts, ideally with some international exposure. You will have an ability to translate complex legal concepts into simple and practical commercial guidance and with superior engagement skills, you will forge strong working relationships across the business as it continues to grow. This is an innovative, fast-paced and highly collaborative organisation and as such, will suit a resilient and flexible lawyer with a strong solutions focus. Melbourne based.
