**Your New Role**
- Identify, target and secure new business relating to air freight and sea freight exports (general freight division)
- Target commodities include: Milk Powder, Health Supplements, Wine, Chocolate, Food Products, and other Manufactured Products in Australia
- Work with Client Services team to design and implement standard operating procedures for new business
- Develop, report, and pursue a continuing active pipeline
- Prepare and present proposals and tenders to senior decision-makers
- Negotiate rate and service agreements with prospects and service providers
- Design and implement standard operating procedures for new business
- Planning and developing presentations
- Assisting in the development of marketing literature
- Building and developing relationships with potential clients

**What you will need to succeed**:

- 3+ years experience in the freight forwarding industry
- 3+ years of business development experience in the same industry or function
- Strong business knowledge in the freight forwarding industry to adapt services to new clients' business models
- Proven sales success in the Australian market (can hit the ground running)
- Capability to achieve and report on KPI's based on activity and business growth
- Experience influencing and engaging key figures in client organizations
- Strong financial expertise with demonstrated ability to develop and implement business structures
- Positive and professional attitude
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
- High attention to detail and strong planning and organizing skills
