**Emergency Relief Intensive Support Worker**
- **Part-time** - 60 hours per fortnight
- **Location**: Travel between Newcastle & Lake Macquarie
- This role is paid under the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Award 2010- Level 4

**About the role**:
The Intensive Support Worker (ISW) will be responsible for providing professional and accountable case coordination for emergency relief clients presenting with complex needs. They will develop and facilitate holistic strengths-based case plans to assist in the identification of goals, enabling the client to make informed decisions to improve their quality of life.

**Essential Criteria**
- Qualifications in the Community/Human Service Sector, including an understanding of case work practice and strengths
- based approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop rapport and communicate effectively with people who are highly vulnerable or experiencing hardship
- Experience in working with and managing volunteers
- High level of computer literacy and highly developed administration skills
- Demonstrate experience in the provision of case work or case coordination which creates opportunities and, empowers and promotes the well-being of emergency relief clients
- Ability to effectively network and liaise with government and non
- government services providers
- Demonstrate experience in the provision of case work or case coordination which creates opportunities and, empowers and promotes the well-being of emergency relief clients

The successful applicant will possess or willingness to obtain the following: NSW Working with Children Check, Criminal history check, Drivers Licence, first aid & CPR certificate and undertake a pre-employment functional medical.
