**About our client**

OPAN is a national network of independent member organisations that give a voice to older people who are eligible or receiving aged care services. The network provides free, confidential, aged care advocacy, information and education to older Australians, their families or representatives. We are independent of the government and aged care providers.

OPAN, the national body, works with the government to influence aged care policy through systemic advocacy. The nine state and territory member organisations deliver advocacy services for older people across Australia. Their collective vision is of a society where older people are heard, informed and respected, and where they can enjoy and exercise their rights to live fulfilling lives.

**Role responsibilities**

Reporting into the Manager, Policy and Systemic Advocacy, the core focus of the role is to provide administrative support to the Policy and Systemic Advocacy Team (PSAT) and the National Older Persons Reference Group (NOPRG) and associated sub-groups.
- Assist with end-to-end coordination of internal PSAT team/NOPRG meetings (such as confirming agenda, liaison with attendees, minute-taking, action item follow up, supporting co-chairs and setting annual meeting schedule, organising guest facilitators)
- Accurate record-keeping is maintained (meeting minutes, etc, stored in SharePoint, database of members is up to date, and records of consultations, and other engagements by NOPRG members is kept for reporting purposes)
- Coordinate registrations, travel and other activities, for example, consultations (such as booth requirements, collateral, etc) as requested for team and NOPRG members to attend conferences and other events
- Collation/circulations of relevant reports/information from the NOPRG to external and internal stakeholders, as well as keeping NOPRG members informed of reports and information about consultations, submissions and other information in between meetings
- Provide administrative support to NOPRG members and Policy and Systemic Advocacy Teams as needed

**Essential Requirements**

You will be a collaborative worker and have a proactive approach to problem solving and be able confidently communicate with a very diverse range of stakeholders.
- You will have previous experience in an administrative support role
- Be proficient at Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; experience in booking travel is advantageous
- Strong verbal and written communications
- Excellent multitasking, time management and organisational skills, without losing attention to detail
- Strong sense of customer service
