**About the Role**
The position is responsible for ensuring the safe management (including acquisition, storage and serving) of food and beverages. It works with a wide range of stakeholders including student groups, research centres and staffing groups.
The Food and Beverage Coordinator reports to the Manager, Strategic Planning and Reporting and will develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues in the Law School, Shared Services, Chancellery, other Academic Divisions, visitors and stakeholders to ensure high quality and timely service delivery.
Responsibilities include:
- Ability to undertake ordering, storage, rotation, preparation, presentation and disposal of food and beverages.
- Ensure all Occupational Health, Safety and welfare obligations and standards are maintained including those relevant to Food Safety as defined by the Act
- Ensure there is a selection of food/beverages to be made available in various settings in the Law School.
**About You**
You have experience in managing all facets of a commercial kitchen, and have financial management skills to ensure budgets and financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date. You have strong interpersonal skills and a client focused approach that enables you to effectively work with a diverse range of stakeholders. To be successful in this role you will need to be able to work both autonomously with mínimal direction, and able to work collaboratively in a team, as well as possessing excellent organisation and attention to detail skills.
You will also have:
- Significant experience in the food preparation, management and delivery.
- Qualifications in Food Safety Supervision, Food Safety Handling and Responsible Service of Alcohol.
- Experience in ordering food and beverages, receipting them and their storage and rotation. Experience in managing the procurement, invoicing and receipting of food stuff and beverages.
