**Head of Risk | Allianz Technology - Sydney NSW**

The primary purpose of this role is to combine an independent risk oversight function in Australia while contributing to regional risk governance with a direct functional reporting line to APAC Regional Risk Officer. Locally the role reports to the Australia Head of Finance & Governance and supports them and the Head of Branch in maintaining risk oversight over all short and long-term risk topics related to Australia. This oversight includes the organization of risk, control and outsourcing related procedures of the Australia Operating Entity. The role heads the local risk management function and manages and oversees the activities of the Australia risk team with 5 direct reports both onshore and offshore. It includes responsibility over people development and compliance with HR related activities.

**You'll be responsible for**:

- Oversees the implementation and compliance with the Risk Policy Framework including outsourcing related procedures.
- Performs quality assurance on the outcomes of the IRCS and TPRM cycle.
- Drives improvement of Allianz Technology Australia's risk culture.
- Plans and coordinates control testing activities, including customer OE audits.
- Ensures close collaboration with customer OEs to fulfil local regulatory requirements.
- Establishes pro-active risk reporting to the Regional Risk Officer and facilitates the entity Risk Committee at least quarterly to ensure transparency towards Regional Risk Officer, AZ Tech Group CRO, local and regional management of the risk profile and management of key risks.
- Manages and oversees the Australia risk teams activities, delegates tasks and is responsible for people development and compliance with HR related activities e.g. performance reviews.
- Supports the local risk team in the coordination of risk assessments, control testing, development of mitigation plans and their follow-up.
- Contributes actively in the APAC regional risk oversight and fosters collaboration across the region and global operations.
- Drives cross functional collaboration with the regional and local teams whether in 1st or 2nd line of defence.

**Important to your success**:

- Multi-years of professional experience in different areas of enterprise risk management, ideally on the background of an IT service provider and across the risk categories: operational risk, IT risk, project risk, ousourcing/cenfor risk, business risk.
- Successful performance of a leadership role with direct reports (line function or project).
- Capability to build collaborative working relationships cross functionally and within own function.
- Ability to work in virtual and international teams across the globe, international experience a plus.
- Good knowledge of local service landscape and supplier relationship.
- Good knowledge of local regulatory environment and standards like COBIT 2019, COSO, ISO27XXX, ISAE/SOC.
- Strong communication and conflict management skills, experience in working with C-level management a plus.
- Advanced skills in MS Office, knowledge of ORGS, SNOW, MicroStrategy is a plus.
