Join our Network Operations and Assurance Team in Brisbane, as a permanent, Field Technician. This is a busy and diverse role reporting to the Supervisor.

**About the Role**
You will be engaged in jointing / splicing activities and may supervisor the work of less senior jointers / splicers internal or external. The role requires some travel and time away from home and will require you to be on an afterhours on call roster. Duties include:

- Jointing / splicing activities
- Fault location and restoration using electronic location and testing equipment
- Ability to scope civil works, supply mud maps and provide schedule of rates
- Perform field and desk top audits
- Identify potential hazardous situations and take corrective actions
- Report on critical delays that affect delivery of projects
- Ensuring that appropriate tools, safety equipment and materials are available to enable the timely completion of tasks
- Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards
- Interacting with customers and employees at several levels

**About You**
It is mandatory that you have the follow:

- NBN enable for required skills for the position
- Traffic Management Level 2
- Current first aid certificate
- Current CPR certificate
- Covid 19 Vaccinated (double)
- Strong team player with ability to work autonomously
- High attention to detail and strong time management
- Sound communication skills written and verbal with a good level of computer literacy

Desirable skills:

- Pole top rescue
- Energex / Ergon access to poles
- Electrical qualification
