Small-sized Federal Government Agency looking for an APS5 Technical Officer to support the IT team.

**Your new company**
You'll be working in a small, highly successful team within the agencies Technology branch.

**Your new role**

The Technical Officer Desktop, under the direction of the Infrastructure Manager, will work as a part of an agile IT team to assist in the management, support, and maintenance of the agency ICT systems including desktop/laptop computers and Servers.

The successful applicant will develop and maintain technical documentation related to the agency ’s ICT environment.

The successful applicant will plan and manage controlled changes, patches, and upgrades to the agency desktop hardware, software, and firmware.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Can demonstrate solid experience and expertise to be able to perform effectively in providing technical advice for desktop operating system administration including product installation, upgrades, licensing, and performance tuning and troubleshooting according to ITIL and industry standards, policies, and procedures
- Can demonstrate the ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a small team in a busy and changing ICT environment
- Has the ability to assisting the Service Desk team to respond, plan, prioritise and deliver desktop-related service desk functions ensuring the functions are delivered on time, within budget and meet client needs
- Has excellent communication skills and proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally with a diverse range of stakeholders
