**Our Family Support Team**

We help more than 2,200 Queensland families to become happier, safer, healthier and stronger through our intervention and family support services. These services are all about engaging with families early when challenges arise, and working with them to build from their strengths. Our practical family support programs are located across Queensland, whereby we work closely with parents to develop their skills and relationships to help keep their family together, and give hope to their children.

**About the role**

Reporting to the State Manager, Family Support Services, you will be the go-to person to

provide professional support, supervision, leadership and development to programs within our Children, Youth and Families area.

The primary focus of this position is on policy, program and practice work relating to Family Support Services, with a particular focus on implementation of a domestic and family violence practice model.

Your responsibilities will also include, however, not be limited to ensuring consistent and effective translation of strategies into practice when consulting with senior managers, staff and key stakeholders.

You will ensure standards and quality and performance of programs are maintained to Standards and Service Agreements, ensuring program procedures and processes are applied including intake, case allocations, case planning and case review.

We are casting our net far and wide This role can be based in Brisbane or any other regional centres where there is a Children, Youth and Family service.

Remuneration for this role is $57.58 - $59.85 per hour commensurate with experience.

**About you**

You are an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about the welfare of children and achieving the absolute best outcomes for them. With excellent communication skills, you are capable of liaising comfortably with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You have a comprehensive knowledge of legislative and service requirements and effortlessly promote a culture of compliance. Being able to provide a rapid response in complex situations while thinking innovatively to solve issues, is a must.

To be suitable for this position, your qualifications for the role will consist of:

- Degree qualification in Social Work, Child and Family Welfare or Behavioural Science with substantial experience;
- Demonstrated knowledge of compliance, statutory regulations, and the National Quality Framework;
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of development, attachment and trauma theories as they relate to child and family welfare;
- Minimum five years' experience in child protection, early childhood, family support, transition to independence services or out of home care;
- Experience in assessment and provision of clinical interventions for clients with a history of trauma and/or abuse.
