Global Transaction Services (GTS) provides transactional banking, client experience and solution implementation for institutional customers. GTS is also the product owner for some transactional banking products distributed to customers in the Westpac Consumer and Business Banking division. We also manage the bank's payment networks, the regulatory and payments strategy agenda, and (with Group Operations) payments operations including clearing and settlements.

**How will I help?**

As an Associate Director, Squad and Chapter Member in the BCM team of GTS, you will play a pivotal leadership role in implementing and performing risk in change management and monitoring obligations in Westpac Institutional Bank. Reporting into the Executive Director, you will support consistent implementation and embedding of risk management frameworks, policies, and controls across the Global Transaction Services business and value chain.

You will also be responsible for partnering with key stakeholders across the GTS value chain on all incidents and risk and control matters to develop pragmatic solutions to risk and control issues through to end-to-end implementation.

It is an expectation of you to promote a strong risk culture that embodies our ethics and integrity, balancing commercial and customer needs.

Other key accountabilities include:

- Contribute to ensuring that divisional and business operations, as well as risk management practices, align to the frameworks, policies, risk strategy, regulatory obligations, and appetite of the Group
- Drive a strong risk and controls culture by providing risk expertise to the business and the value chain squad in identifying, assessing, and actioning risk and controls issues
- Support the proactive and effective monitoring, management, and reporting of current and emerging risks to facilitate a strong risk culture, risk awareness, and ownership of risk
- Provide support to the business in developing their risk profile, including defining and operationalising relevant RAS metrics
- Identify and enable more efficient and effective risk practices by partnering with stakeholders across the GTS product domain value chain
- Provide risk advice in the assessment, root cause analysis, and remediation of incidents for the GTS product domain
- Provide input to regulatory requests and remediation, as well as supporting the delivery of remediation programs for the GTS product domain
- Drive a risk focussed culture by providing input and updates in the quality of JUNO and Holocentric records
- Ensure high quality risk management outcomes are achieved, sustained, and applied consistently within and across each Product Domain Squad by acting as standard bearer for certain Group risk policies, standards and procedures

**What do I need?**

To be successful in this role you must be an experienced risk management professional (5- 10 years) with strong banking or financial services and risk assessment experience, including a material risk policy component related to the relevant risk class.
