We are seeking a values-driven and dedicated Miranda Community Coordinator reporting to the Team Leader. You will oversee and coordinate the Social Service delivery for the Salvation Army at the Miranda location in the Sutherland Shire.

This is a permanent part-time 19 hours per week based at Menai Corps.

You will successfully
- Connect with individuals and families in long term hardship to activities and services that promote social inclusion in the Australian community.
- Engage and connect with all persons coming for help and support with the intention of connecting them to each other and our mission
- Oversee the processes and supply of community assistance provided from each of Shire Salvos Miranda site
- Develop case plans alongside the participant and tailored according to each Participant’s goals, background and needs
- Engage in regular communication and collaboration with local agencies and services to strengthen the presence of Shire Salvos within the community
- Coordinate and organise relevant community events & engagement. eg: Christmas activities, food drives etc

You will have
- Tertiary or other qualifications within community services, social work or related discipline (Minimum Diploma Level or working toward a diploma/degree)
- Understanding of Trauma-Informed Practice; Homelessness; AOD
- Solid level of experience (minimum 2+ years) in the implementation of case management and systems for disadvantaged and/or complex needs clients
- Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and religions
- Experience working in collaboration with other organisations to develop and tailor programs to meet clients’ needs
- A valid Employee Working with Children Check
- A valid Driver's Licence
- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check
