**About the Role**:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced analyst to be a member of our R&D team with responsibility for analysing opportunities, along with developing and coordinating the R&D projects.

This role will be primarily responsible for developing and supporting processes, documentation, and work products within team. Day to day this will include facilitating, coordinating, and undertaking analysis of opportunities and collaborating with the team and stakeholders to assess the opportunities, identify and design potential approaches to target them, and then deliver the resultant projects using agile techniques in conjunction with other R&D team members.

**What you’ll deliver**:

- Lead the investigation, analysis and documentation of opportunities within business processes
- Assess the potential business value of opportunities and prepare business cases and other supporting documentation required for any approvals and funding required
- Develop and implement processes and documentation for opportunities and opportunity analysis within the team
- Keeping abreast of developments in digital tools and approaches developed by the team including machine learning, artificial intelligence, and other technologies
- Building the capability within the R&D group including processes, tools and techniques for effective experimentation and opportunity exploitation
- Work collaboratively with business stakeholders and R&D team members on R&D opportunities through the R&D project lifecycle
- Present analysis in a data-driven, clear, compelling, and relevant way
- Ensure that stakeholders & 3rd party partners are engaged in a proactive and collaborative manner.

**To succeed in this role you’ll have**:

- Bachelor’s Degree qualifications in engineering, computer science, data science and/or statistics or relevant experience
- Agile project delivery experience
- Experience in Business & Process Analysis, opportunity evaluation and business case development
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis, visualisation, and report preparation
- Working experience with software development and/or BI tools
- Machine Learning and exposure
- Data Management exposure
- Strong communication and Stakeholder Management skills
- Experience in electricity industry
