Local Government Authority based in the northeast | Initially a 3-month contract | Flexible hybrid work model | $35 - $40 per hour + super
- **Hybrid work will be offered with approximately 2 days in the office and remainder from home depending on the week**:

- **Reporting into Senior BP | Liaising with council leaders on a daily basis to provide general HR advice, support and guidance on a range of matters**:

- **Play an important role in supporting end-to-end recruitment and generalist HR functions across the council**

**About the company**

A Local Government authority based in the northeast of Melbourne are looking for People & Culture Officer to join their People & Culture team. You will be working for a value focussed organisation, who focus on being high performing & providing a great service to their local community.This role is full-time, working Monday - Friday. The organisation offers flexible hybrid working, with approximately 2 days in the office and 3 days from home depending on the week. The contract is initially 3 months, and it could lead to longer term opportunities. As the People and Culture (P&C) Support Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the end-to-end recruitment and generalist Business Partnering functions across the organisation. With the support of the Talent Acquisition Advisors and Business Partners, you will provide exceptional customer service and guidance in the development of recruitment campaigns, from initial stages to the contract and onboarding of new employees.

**Your key responsibilities include**:

- Being a true HR generalist and supporting stakeholders across the council
- Support end-to-end recruitment
- Provide technical support during interviews and occasionally sit in on interviews
- Provide advice and update policies
- Support line managers with workforce planning
- Provide informed advice and technical expertise to employees and leaders in their assigned directorates on a wide range of People and Culture matters
- General HR administrative tasks

**You will have the following**:

- Tertiary qualifications in HR or other related field
- Experience in a high-volume administrative or generalist HR function with excellent time management skills.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards or the Fair Work Act is desired but not essential
- Well-articulated verbal and written communication skills with experience in report writing or policy development
- Excellent stakeholder management including internal leaders and external bodies
- Experience in Technology One or similar HRIS is advantageous
