**What We're Looking For**:We're on the hunt for a permanent part time Head Barista. We are looking for someone who is not just looking for a job, but a place to grow and thrive. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Craft and serve high-quality coffee beverages with precision and care.
- Work closely with the owner and operations manager to streamline coffee operations and processes.
- Multitask like a pro during busy periods, ensuring high standards of quality coffee are maintained and efficient wait times are managed.
- Build genuine relationships with our customers and create a welcoming atmosphere in the cafe.
- Take the initiative and be responsible for opening and closing the store - your the key to making each day at Hap special.

**Requirements**:

- Previous senior barista experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- An understanding of concepts relating to specialty coffee brewing and service, processing, varieties, and growing regions
- Able to confidently follow specialty coffee recipes and understand all variables affecting extraction for multiple brew methods including pour-over, batch brew, cold brew and espresso
- Able to confidently dial in coffees every day to taste across filter and espresso.
- Genuine passion for building strong relationships with team and customers.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Willingness to take on responsibilities and ensure the smooth operation of the cafe.
- High personal value for contribution and impact.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:

- Penalty rates

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Senior Barista: 2 years (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
