We are seeking a Graduate Investment Analyst to join our Research Team in Sydney.

The role of the Graduate Investment Analyst is to provide a high level of managed funds product research to financial advisers and other subscribers. Over time, the Graduate Investment Analyst will work across a range of asset classes (including Australian and Global Equities, Fixed Income, Property and Infrastructure, Alternatives and Multi Asset), and managed funds products (including Listed and Unlisted Managed Funds, Listed Investment Companies, Listed Investment Trusts and other Exchange Traded Products).

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyse and conduct research on all exchange traded products across a range of asset classes including Australian Equities, Global Equities, Fixed Interest, Cash and Alternatives.
- Assist with coverage initiation on new funds and maintaining ongoing coverage of exchange products on at least an annual basis.
- Coordinate managers and other sector specialists for meetings as required.
- Assist with report writing and meeting preparation via collecting and synthesizing written information and assessing the merits of products. The assessment includes product complexity, people and resources, investment style and objectives, research approach, portfolio construction, risk management and providing an overall opinion.
- Contribute to the integrity and evolution of the research process - participate in peer review and model portfolio discussions, and provide ideas and input into process development;
- Being able to manage multiple task and contribute to the team.
- Additional duties as directed.

About You:

- Previous professional experience with an emphasis on financial analysis and industry knowledge specific to equities;
- Research skills (qualitative) - a strong ability to synthesize and distil financial information down to key concepts and convey this in written form efficiently, clearly and concisely. Strong attention to detail is essential;
- Research skills (quantitative) - ability to manipulate and analyse data;
- Organisational and time management skills - meet deadlines and coordinate various tasks at a time (and reprioritise as new tasks come to hand);
- Ability to work as part of a close-knit team
- Positive, friendly and can-do attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to engage with senior external stakeholders
- A demonstrable understanding of investments, equities and ETFs;

**Essential qualifications**:

- An undergraduate degree in a business or mathematical based discipline (science or engineering) e.g. BComm, BBus, BA, BEc, BSc, BApSc

**Highly regarded qualifications**:

- CFA level 1
- Honours Year
- RG146 Accreditation
- Master of Business Administration / Economics / Commerce / Applied Finance
