The Nexus Program will provide a critical missing link between organisational units at UNSW, connecting faculties to each other and to the PVCESE to develop and implement co-ordinated solutions to challenges in education and student experience. Through the recruitment of education-related staff distributed throughout UNSW’s Sydney and Canberra-based schools, Nexus Program will provide the Schools and Faculties with extra capacity to enable widespread implementation of educational initiatives. Additionally, it will provide a mechanism for teaching academics to contribute to and provide feedback on centrally developed education programs.
**Why Your Role Matters**:
As the Educational Development Manager, Nexus Program you will play a key role in the Nexus Program Team and UNSW Canberra, by providing leadership and strategic thinking in the implementation and co-ordination of institution
- wide educational initiatives.
You will collaborate with members of the Nexus Program Team in the faculty and the PVCESE portfolio to achieve learning and teaching strategies of the university.
The role reports to the Manager, Academic Support Services with a dotted line to the Project Lead, Nexus Program Team and has no direct reports.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage prioritization and implementation of new institution-wide educational initiatives through effective management of Nexus Program and communication with Education Focused Fellow, Nexus Program in the faculty.
- Develop and manage effective communications, training, and resources for key stakeholders, to support Nexus Program initiatives in the Faculty.
- Development, design, implementation and evaluation of digital resources and activities for blended, hybrid and online delivery.
- Interpret requirements of the Project Lead, Nexus Program and Manager, Academic Support Services, providing proactive advice and solution-focused action in a timely and accurate manner.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders through consultation and provision of advice on effective and innovative teaching strategies and activities in the UNSW Education Co-op.
- Collaborate with other members of the Nexus Program team to ensure consistent approaches to the implementation of new initiatives across schools and faculties.
- Provide advice, support and troubleshooting to academics on the implementation of university-wide initiatives, and on other effective digital tools and techniques for achieving their specific learning goals.
- Provide accurate and regular updates to the Project Lead, Nexus Program, regarding the progress of assigned projects.

**You will have**
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced, especially in relation to project reporting requirements.
- Sound stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
- Experience developing pedagogically appropriate educational resources and demonstrated capability in course design/development.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing systems or programs requiring integration of theoretical or technical knowledge in a complex, specialised environment.
- Experience working with a range of educational technologies and common learning management systems.
- Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
