**The opportunity**:
We are currently looking to engage anAssociate-to-Associate Director level Structural Engineer to join our Building Structures group in our Adelaide office. This is a rare opportunity to join the leadership group, riding the wave of success with a team that is delivering some of the largest and most complex building projects in the State.

**A typical day for you**:

- Working in a market-facing and design delivery focused role;
- Handling ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with local clients;
- Ascertaining specifications and evolving client requirements;
- Proactively determining, managing, monitoring and controlling scope of works;
- Project leading work across the design, delivery and tender phases for multi-year/packaged work for turnkey projects;
- Ensuring timely and quality of delivery for project and structural engineering work in support of relevant technical, commercial and regulatory standards - and in alignment with schedules and budgets;
- Managing effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally;
- Providing sound technical/delivery guidance for the team;
- Mentoring, training and developing the careers of junior engineers, and;
- Partnering with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting.

**What we'll love about you**:

- Chartered status with Engineers Australia;
- Bachelor to Masters’ level degree (Civil/Structural Engineering);
- Strong expertise in building structures engineering and design documentation;
- 10+ years’ experience on large Australian projects across a range of sectors, e.g. commercial, health, defence and education;
- Well-developed client facing, business development and account/relationship management skills;
- Proven project leading skills, including managing structural project leaders;
- Track record of effective cross-discipline project delivery and an effective collaborator with all key engineering disciplines;
- Ideally well-versed tendering requirements and influencing successful outcomes being achieved;
- Ability to lead, train and mentor junior engineers across technical and project delivery aspects;
- Highly developed customer-focus, leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills, and;
- Expertise with post-tensioned (PT) design (highly regarded);
- Understanding of ETABS, BIM, NavisWorks and Revit Structure (advantageous).
