Are you looking for a greenfield, blank-slate, newly created L&D Management position, where you will be the first L&D Manager, in a newly created organisation, aimed at increasing capability, bringing people together, designing and implementing learning frameworks, on a positive cultural change journey?

This organisation is well embedded and also has a strong legacy within a niche 'essential community services', where you will be working within a diverse organisation of white, blue-collar, and sales and service, of around 300 people across multiple sites in Sydney.

This for-purpose, values-driven, and multi-faceted organisation that is undergoing significant uplift and organisational efficiencies, resulting in positive change across all levels. With a new centralised HR team, who has solid investment and support from Executive Leadership, to now create a first-time, highly-needed L&D team, as a key part of the overall centralisation organisational strategy, aimed at enhancing the quality and standards of the workplace culture.

There is a specific need due to an amalgamation of a number of sites that will now be coming together under a new centalised HR team, with full intention to upgrade and revamp learning, capability, and development programs, introducing new systems, processes, and policies designed to enhance and optimise overall organisational operations and workplace culture.

Reporting to the Head of HR, this newly created role will have the chance to build from the ground-up all workplace training & learning, and design and deliver within an organisation that values its employees and sees people as being their greatest asset.

You will have strong leadership support and will be working hands-on with the site-based operational managers, and leaders across the organisation. This role will have a newly created position of a Learning and Development Consultant reporting to it for support as you implement a new L&D agenda, working alongside the supportive HR team, including an OD & Talent Manager, introducing L&D programs, career pathways, and promoting learning communities around new on-boarding, systems, process, safety, and compliance based training programs. You will be creating learning programs linking to the broader newly created capability framework, and broader organisational & talent development initiatives.

This is a hands-on build, design, and deliver, end-to-end operational role as much as it is a holistic strategic L&D & workplace training position. You will effectively partner with all levels of the business to identify learning opportunities that meet the evolving needs of the organisation. You will be developing learning solutions that are effective, efficient, and pragmatic, to meet the HR and organisational goals, whilst partnering with external training providers.

To be considered for this role you will be an experienced L&D practitioner, with previous experience building, delivering, and driving learning and development, across all workplace training programs from within blue & white collar, multi-site environments. You will be able to build relationships with a wide variety of people from all backgrounds and be able to influence at all levels, including the front-line labour workforce. You will enjoy working as part of a collaborative HR team, with the autonomy to implement initiatives and drive the L&D agenda. You will have excellent communication skills and want to make a difference in a community services industry that is undergoing positive transformation. You will have the ability to work in an ambiguous, unstructured environment, whilst you are setting, building, and standardising processes to create a new enhancing workplace for all leaders and employees.
