**About the Role**:
We are currently having a great opportunity for an experienced and proactive Health & Wellbeing Advisor to join our Health and Safety team based at Market Street.
Reporting to the Health & Wellbeing Manager this role will support the development and deployment of the organisation’s Health and wellbeing program with the objective of supporting and improving the physical and mental health of our workforce.
**What you’ll deliver**:
- Develop, coordinate, and implement evidence-based health and wellbeing programs
- Provide high level strategic advice to the Health and Wellbeing manager on a range of issues, impacts and risks to organisational health and wellbeing, as well as best practice Wellbeing programs on the market
- Contribute effectively as a member of the Health, Safety and Sustainability team to develop and deliver promotional campaigns aimed at increasing workforce awareness and take up of initiatives, such as coordination/ facilitation of educational seminars, training sessions, development, and dissemination of educational and promotional resources
- Provide awareness, education, training and coaching to relevant stakeholders in relation to mental health & wellbeing
- Build a network of Wellbeing champions to further promote the wellbeing vision set out by the Wellbeing Function
- Conduct and document manual handling / ergonomic assessments and develop leading practices as appropriate
- Establish partnerships with mental health providers (e.g., Converge) to support the delivery of clinical support, education, and other mental health prevention initiatives
- Mange occupational health/ health surveillance programs and support the Wellbeing function with Occupational Health duties when required e.g., flu vacs / skin checks
**To succeed in this role you’ll have**:
- Allied health professional qualifications, e.g., Psychology, Exercise Physiology or equivalent related bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in co-ordinating the deployment of health improvement programs
- Previous experience conducting manual handling / ergonomic assessments
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, report writing, record management, organisational change, and strong stakeholder management
- Strong understanding of best practice approaches to mental health and wellbeing in an organisational context
- Demonstrated experience in influencing management to effect, positive Health and Wellbeing outcomes across a complex organisation
- Experience working autonomously and manage multiple programs/initiatives/activities of varying complexity
- Provide high level expertise dealing with more complex health matters
- Strong organisational skills, time management and delivery
- Proven experience in communicating effectively both orally and in writing at all organisational levels
