Vimac 11 Business is currently searching for a professional and experienced Wall and Floor Tiler.

**ABOUT THIS ROLE**

This is a permanent full-time position

Most of the work is undertaken around Melbourne and surrounding areas; may involve travelling to rural and regional areas in Victoria based on the location of the clients.

**REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS**

The successful applicant will report directly to the business owner.

**SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Inspect the interior or surfaces that need tiling
- Provide estimates for the number of tiles, installation time and costs
- Clean walls and floors in preparation for tiling work
- Remove old grout and cement from surfaces
- Fill gaps, cracks and holes in floors and walls
- Level uneven walls, floors and other surfaces
- Spread adhesive onto ready surfaces and tiles, then set tiles in position
- Make tiles to flush with corners, edges and fittings
- Ensure proper spacing and alignment of floor and wall tiles
- Lay coloured tiles in patterns to create eye-catching mosaics
- Lay terrazzo, large size of laminate porcelain, ceramic and mosaic tiles, cement, or granolithic flooring
- Able to examine plans, measuring and marking surfaces and laying out work
- Spreading adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles, and setting tiles in position
- Grinding and polishing marble and stone surfaces.
- Sealing walls and floor where requested by client.

**PREREQUISITES & QUALIFICATIONS**

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have the following skills and experience:

- Previous experience in Tiling (a minimum of 2 year experience).
- Only White card holder will be considered.
- Own a car (preferably a Van) and carry a full Victorian driver’s licence (or Valid licence in Australia).
- Ability to work independently, while being part of a dedicated and experienced team
- Excellent communication skills
- Great at multitasking and meeting deadlines
- Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling is preferable or applicant must have at least three years full-time experience relevant to the job.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
