Due to a long, strong and ongoing pipeline of work we are ungently seeking enthusiastic and motivated applicants for the positions of qualified Flooring Installer within our Queensland Trades team who will be required to work on a wide range of residential projects.
Essential skills needed:
• Qualification or 3+ years’ experience in floor finishing.
• Expertise knowledge of current flooring requirements.
• Ability to manage own time and others to meet agreed timeframe and projects.
• Able to work on tasks autonomously.
• Construction OHS card (white card) (we will help you obtain this).
• Supply & maintain own commercial grade tools, noting a tool maintenance allowance is included in the salary package).
• Provide own vehicle to get themselves and their tools to site.
• Maintain current driver’s license.

Additional Information:
Must have: AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
The role is for an all-round flooring installer that can complete work to Australian Standards and measures, cuts, installs and repairs carpet, timber, vinyl, resilient resin and concrete floor coverings.
Tasks include:
• measuring areas to be covered and consulting plans to estimate quantities of floor covering materials required.
• preparing surfaces for covering and removing baseboard trims
• measuring, cutting, and fixing underlay materials.
• laying coverings, such as carpets, linoleum, parquetry blocks, cork tiles and other resilient flooring materials, over floors, matching patterns, cutting shapes around fixtures and trimming edges.
• securing floor coverings and fitting edge trims in doorways.
• sanding, staining, and applying finishing coatings to timber floors.
• may install wall, ceiling, counter, and bench coverings.
