**About the role**
As the **Team Leader Youth**, you’ll lead and coordinate a passionate team of youth workers across multiple sites in Wyndham. - Actively supervising and mentoring a team of youth workers, providing guidance, support, and professional development to maintain high-quality service delivery.
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with local stakeholders, partners, and internal teams to enhance service reach and impact.
- Planning and delivering engaging programs, events, and activities that respond to the needs and interests of young people and their families.
- Driving innovation in program design by working collaboratively with the team to co-design flexible, place-based services that are culturally safe, youth-led, and evidence-informed.
- Finding creative solutions to deliver impactful outcomes within tight budget constraints prioritising innovative resource use without compromising service quality.
- Challenging conventional thinking to continuously improve service delivery, team performance, and outcomes for young people.
- Monitoring and evaluating programs to ensure they are effective, inclusive, and aligned with best practices in youth participation and strengths-based approaches.
**What you will bring**
- Degree qualification in Youth Work, Community Development, Social Work or a related discipline and relevant experience in the generalist Youth Sector or lesser formal qualification and substantial relevant experience in the Youth Sector as a practitioner
- Substantial experience working directly and collaboratively with young people, volunteers, and community organisations in the delivery of programs for young people.
- Demonstrated experience in supervising and leading a team in a complex environment.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining strategic partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
- Exceptional organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Current Employee Working with Children Check
If you progress past the interview stage, you may be required to complete pre-employment screening, which may include police checks, a medical, qualification verification, and an Australian work rights check.
