**About the role**:
We are currently looking for multiple full-time Metal Fabricators to join our workshop team located in Wingfield facilities. These roles report to the Workshop Manager/Supervisor. The job is based at the workshop, however, there will also be some site-based work at various locations during the installation phase of the projects.

Pay Rate: $70,029.44 + 10.5% Super

**Key Accountabilities include**:

- Work with heavy/ thick plate to 60mm plus thick carbon steel plate that has been formed/ rolled into barrels.
- Join barrels together to form strakes.
- Correctly interpret fabrication drawings and follow job instructions.
- Tack weld seams, and circumferential joints using the welding process as per weld procedure.
- Conversant with applicable weld procedures.
- Understand and follow work instructions.
- Fabricate the barrels to the required codes, standards, and specifications.
- Competent with the use of oxy cutting equipment and heavy plate rolls.
- Work under mínimal Supervision.
- Always work in a safe manner and ensure those around you do also.
- Attend pre-start and toolbox meetings and contribute to safety discussions.
- Report all hazard observations and proactively contribute to JSA planning.
- Perform daily pre-start checks on all equipment as per industry standards and manufacturers’ instructions.
- Perform tasks in accordance with Company quality procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure the correct weld procedure is used and followed for the job.
- Report any faulty equipment.

**Essential Employment Criteria**:

- Read, interpret, and understand complex fabrication drawings and be able to work from these drawings to fabricate products to the expected level of quality and specification.
- Be proficient in the safe use of all generally accepted tools and equipment for metal tradespersons.
- Understand weld procedures as per the various industry-recognised welding standards.
- Must pass industry-accepted welding tests to an acceptable quality for each required procedure.
- Understand the various material codes and associated weld properties which go with them.
- Have working knowledge of the various welding styles and consumables required for different materials and procedures.
