**Your New Role**:
As the **Manager, Risk and Compliance **you will** **provide high level risk and compliance advice; ensure the Society effectively meets its legislative, regulatory and compliance requirements; and embed effective risk and compliance frameworks across the Society.

**The Manager, Risk and Compliance will**:

- Contribute to the successful implementation of the Strategic Plan within their team.
- Manage the implementation of the enterprise Risk Management Framework
- Facilitate the maintenance of strategic and operational risk registers
- Help embed the systematic identification, assessment and mitigation of risk in business-as-usual practice across the organisation
- Provide advice and support to the organisation to increase our maturity in risk management, achieve best practice and ensure compliance with legal, employment and governance requirements.
- Develop an enterprise-wide Compliance Framework and manage its implementation, ensuring compliance obligations are understood, managed and reported on.
- Support service accreditation processes and external body audits.
- Oversight business continuity plans
- Support specific strategic projects as required.
- Contribute to a safe working environment for members, staff and volunteers by implementing the Society’s workplace health and safety practice.

**To be successful, you will need**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification/s and/or experience in risk and compliance in the government or not-for
- profit sector.
- Experience in implementing best practice risk and compliance frameworks.
- Project management experience in a government or not for profit environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills including the ability to develop reports, briefing papers and other documents accurately and in short time frames.
- Understanding of current issues facing the not-for-profit industry and incorporated not for profit organisations.
