Wonderful opportunities exist to join Molycop as a Mechanical Fitter working on challenging and interesting work in an historic and large-scale Australian manufacturer based at Waratah.

The roles are responsible for:

- Equipment diagnosis and fault finding;
- Preventative maintenance activities;
- Data capture in CMMS (asset management software);
- Safely executing breakdown equipment repairs;
- Simple mechanical planning; and
- Working closely with other trade disciplines and operators.

Reporting directly to a Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader, our Fitters are responsible for the maintenance and repair of industrial plant and equipment, and with assisting the company to achieve environmental, quality and production targets. There are also opportunities to gain experience in project and shutdown planning and execution. All of this and more which is carried out in a well-structured, supportive team environment.

We need you to have:

- Demonstrated commitment to working safely and leading by example;
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding;
- Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics;
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces;
- Effective communication skills;
- Experience working in an industrial maintenance environment;
- A formal qualification in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (minimum of Certificate III); and
- An understanding of reliability/engineering strategies such as condition monitoring and preventative maintenance and have a positive can-do attitude.
