Maintenance Fitters

**The role**

We invite you to consider our Maintenance Fitter opportunities at our Steel Manufacturing plant in Waratah, Newcastle.
In this critical role, you will utilize your comprehensive mechanical or process knowledge to repair and maintain our plant and equipment, to ensure that Molycop can produce the highest quality and innovative products for our customers.
This includes:

- Equipment diagnosis and fault finding;
- Preventative maintenance activities;
- Safely executing breakdown equipment repairs;
- Simple mechanical planning;
- Data capture in CMMS (asset management software); and
- Working closely with other trade disciplines and operators.

There are also opportunities to develop on the job including formal skills training plus experience in project and shutdown planning and execution.
All of this and more which is carried out in a well-structured, supportive team environment.

There are several roles available with a variety of shift patterns including:

- 4 x 9.5 hour shift work roster with 1 Saturday in every 3
- Monday to Friday day shift with RDO
- Regular overtime also available

The hourly base wage rate including dirty work allowance ranges from $39.01-$44.03 depending on experience, plus 10% shift loading for certain rosters, and overtime also available - overall a very attractive remuneration package for these roles.

**About you**
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding;
- Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics;
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces;
- Effective communication skills;
- Experience working in an industrial maintenance environment;
- A formal qualification in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (minimum of Certificate III);
- An understanding of reliability/engineering strategies such as condition monitoring and preventative maintenance
- A positive can-do attitude; and
- Demonstrated commitment to working safely and leading by example.
