**About the position**

The Director, Integrity Office reports to the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Student Experience and Employability and is responsible for leading the management of student complaints, academic and general misconduct, appeals, and safer community investigations at La Trobe University. This senior role is critical to upholding integrity, quality, and fairness for staff and student matters referred to the Integrity Office, while ensuring cases are managed effectively, consistently, and in a timely manner.

Leading a team of specialist investigators and resolution experts, the Deputy Director oversees investigations, mitigates risks to the wellbeing of staff and students, and promotes transparent and equitable processes. As a strategic leader, the role builds strong partnerships across the University and engages with internal and external key stakeholders. The position provides expert advice on best practice in complaints, appeals, academic integrity, safer community and student conduct matters, ensuring compliance with policy, procedures, and legislation, while contributing to a culture of inclusion, respect, and integrity and a safe and supportive environment for the La Trobe community.

**Skills and Experience**

To be considered for this position, you will have:

- A proven track record of leading the investigation of complex integrity, student complaints, or regulatory functions within a large organisation, providing expert advice on best practice, and driving continuous improvement.
- Highly developed communication skills with an ability to lead and motivate others, to resolve conflicts and to confer with peers in other higher education organisations, to determine best practice approaches in program/service delivery.
- Ability to demonstrate drive and integrity through a strong commitment to actions and taking responsibility for role modelling the professional behaviours important to the University. Demonstrated experience meeting relevant University obligations with respect to compliance, policy, safety, and legislative requirements.
- Ability to support shared purpose, think strategically and harness information and opportunities to reinforce the vision for the future of the University.
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively and persuasively with senior colleagues through a superior ability to interact collegiately and negotiate effectively with a wide range of university stakeholders.
