**The role**

Reporting directly to the General Manager Retail Opportunities, the Principal Retail Strategy Advisor is responsible for managing the development of EQL's Retail business strategy, annual retail business plan and retail business growth initiatives to optimise Retail’s commercial and business interests.

**Critical to your success in the role is your**:

- Proven experience in the development of business strategy, business case development and an working awareness of energy retail regulation;
- Proven ability to critically analyse market and competitor developments and their impacts on the business strategy;
- High degree of expertise in writing complex presentations, documents and supporting briefing notes that succinctly articulate the relevant strategic considerations;
- Highly developed interpersonal, facilitation and stakeholder management skills including the ability to effectively influence and gain commitment from senior managers in the outworking of planned activities; and
- Demonstrated focus on driving balanced results for customers, shareholders and the community.
