**The role**

Our dedicated and highly regarded Aquatic Centre Venues team currently has a unique opportunity for an outstanding applicant eager to continue to grow their career in the Sports and Recreation Industry.

As the **Pool Operations Supervisor (Duty Manager) **you’ll oversee a team of young and enthusiastic lifeguards, ensuring the safe and efficient use of our world-class facilities. You’ll play a crucial role in the successful daily management of facilities to meet the competition and training needs of athletes and the recreational and fitness needs of the community, maintaining high standards of service, safety, and venue presentation.

In this exciting role, you’ll have the chance to coordinate and oversee a variety of national and international aquatic events, all while ensuring the leisure facilities remain accessible and enjoyable for the local community. You’ll be responsible for promptly identifying and resolving operational issues, managing risks, and ensuring the safety of all patrons.

**What you will bring to the role**
- Excellent communication skills will be essential as you train, guide, and communicate with your team and senior management.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate complex challenges and adapt to evolving situations to resolve operational issues promptly, manage risks, and ensure the safety of all patrons.
- Proven leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve shared goals.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Solid time management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

**What is an essential requirement**:

- Aquatic Technical Operator certificate (SISSS00131) or equivalent
- Current - Pool Lifeguard qualifications recognised in NSW (SISSS00133) including Provide First Aid and Provide CPR
- A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is an essential requirement for this role. The role has been identified as requiring a check in keeping with the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012**.**
