**The Role**
As an APS 4 Capability Analyst, you will coordinate and review committee meetings inputs pertaining to DDG, including written and verbal ICT military capability briefings that are aligned with the Defence Integrated Investment Program (IIP) and Defence Digital Strategy and Roadmap (DDSR).

You will be responsible for supporting the preparation of procedures and recommendation of best practices and process improvements. Your input will be critical in supporting communication and consultation processes across the division, group and wider Defence to effectively assess military digital demands.

You will be responsible for support the development of informative briefings to executive officials or groups within the organisation to assist in decision-making. Through the briefings, you will support the identification and review of ICT or digital related risks in the IIP and impact in broader and internal digital spaces.

Specifically, you will:

- Coordinate with senior capability analysts to support the management of capability projects where DDG has equities in investment forums.
- Support information requirements flows from multiple forums from various domains of expertise.
- Coordinate a cohesive structure of deliverables with multiple timelines supporting stakeholder relationship engagement by reviewing dates, documentation and closing gaps of information and latest updates.
- Develop acumen to identify, evaluate and communicate digital pressures/threats, interdependencies, opportunities and impacts that are aligned with Digital ICT strategy.

**About our Team**
This APS 4 Capability Analyst position is part of the Military Digital Demand (MDD) Directorate of the Defence Digital Group (DDG). MDD is the group’s engagement lead to identify, prioritise and influence Military digital demand across the Defence ecosystem to achieve integrated and resilient military digital platforms. MDD marshals the whole of the digital landscape to consolidate threats, assessing risks and collaboratively supporting teams to mature and deliver military capability.

The ideal APS 4 Capability Analyst needs to have knowledge or ability to acquire:

- The Australian (federal) government and Defence portfolio processes.
- The Australian Defence strategic posture and policy.
- The Australian One Defence capability lifecycle system.
- Project and program management concepts.
- Plan and organise current and future structure of works aligned to needs and outcomes; engaging with various teams to ensure common objectives are met within scope, time and realising benefits promoting top-down involvement.
- Develop analytical skills to synthesise information to provide alternatives and reasoned judgements within established frameworks.
- Identify, assess, mitigate and monitor risks of the committee coordination processes.
- Collaborate with others to achieve shared objectives, fostering trust and respect for diverse perspectives, and leveraging collective expertise to solve problems.
- Anticipate and respond to changes in internal and external environments staying flexible, open-minded, and resilient through uncertainty and ambiguity.
- Capable of working independently, maintaining quality outputs and meeting deadlines consistently while also seeking guidance and feedback to achieve results.
