We are seeking a skilled Disability Support Worker to join our team and contribute to our mission.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide tailored support to individuals with disabilities and complex mental health needs, assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and community involvement.
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Address and manage complex mental health situations with empathy and professionalism, providing emotional support and crisis intervention as needed.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes independence and personal growth for each client.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of client progress, care activities, and mental health observations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and team members to ensure high-quality care and support.
- Utilize your vehicle to transport clients to appointments, social activities, and other engagements.

**Requirements**:

- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable car.
- Experience working with individuals with complex mental health needs.
- Previous experience in disability support or a related field is preferred.
- Empathetic, patient, and able to build rapport with clients facing diverse challenges.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is an asset.
- A clear background check and relevant qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Disability) will be required.

**How to Apply**:
**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 24 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- On call
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid & CPR Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)
- CFA Certificate (preferred)
- Infection and Prevention Control Certificate (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
