**Mental Health Support Worker, Blacktown LGA NSW**

Care With Excellence is seeking a proactive and energetic MALE MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT WORKER **(Male ONLY)**to work in Blacktown LGA NSW.

It will be the role of the MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT WORKER to support our clients **personal care, meal preparation, daily living tasks, independent skill building** and with **community/social outings.**

**Duties involved.**
- Assistance with meal preparation, light household duties and some personal care.
- Assist client to and from local hospital appointments.
- Assist client with community access, which may include fortnightly trips to Newcastle.
- **Proactive with shifts and tasks of hours between 2 to 8 hours each**:

- **Be mobile and ready for on call shifts**

**License and Certification**
- Relevant Qualification
- Current Drivers License
- CPR & First Aid Certification
- Working with Children Check for Employer (preferred)
- National Police Clearance Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Fully vaccinated against COVID - 19 (With evidence of booster or evidence of booking confirmation).

**Essential Criteria**
- Ensures a **person - centered approach** that empowers the independence and choice of the participant.
- Must be a **reliable, punctual and dedicated** individual looking for potential long term commitment.
- **Cert III in Community Services, Aged Care, Disability (Or equivalent)**:

- Excellent **interpersonal** and **communication skills**:

- Previous **experience** as a Disability OR Mental Health Support Worker (+6 months preferred)
- **Registered vehicle and proof of insurance.**:

- Right to work in Australia
- Access to a smart phone.
