**More about the role**

As the Manager Operational Risk, you will support the Senior Manager in delivering high quality risk advice. You will support the business by providing second line oversight and challenge to ensure they actively manage, escalate and resolve risks in accordance with our risk management framework.

Work with senior leaders in the business, technology, and risk areas to manage BAU risks as well as major projects and change. In doing so, you will champion the ongoing maturity of our risk framework as our business evolves.

**Key responsibilities will include;**
- Targeted operational risk assurance across the business and oversight of controls to support alignment with strategy, business outcomes and compliance with APRA Prudential Standards.
- This includes oversight of control design and implementation, recurring risks and controls review, and resilience assurance and support for APRA notification/consultation.
- Support the activities to design, implement, and execute a right sized Operational Risk Management Framework, including but not limited to incident and issue management, controls assessment, independent assurance, and advisory reviews.
- Second Line risk representative actively contributing to relevant risk forums, management risk committees, project working groups and steering committees.
- Second line challenge and oversight on operational risk and governance frameworks.

**About you**
- Experience in risk management roles within Financial Services or Consulting.
- Experience in dealing with business management, operational risk, model risk, technology risk, project, product or process management issues.
- Knowledge of relevant financial services regulatory and compliance considerations.
- Managing and influencing multi-faceted stakeholders in order to meet competing priorities, different needs, and non-aligned expectations.
- Ability to build strong relationships at all levels to clearly communicate good risk management practices.
