As a Contracts Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing the contract lifecycle of a major project, ensuring compliance, and driving successful outcomes. Your focus will be on contract management, negotiating terms, and resolving any contractual issues that may arise. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure smooth contract execution and minimise risks. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the contract management process from initiation to close, including drafting, negotiating, and executing contracts.
- Ensure contracts are aligned with organisational policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
- Manage and oversee contract administration, including contract variations, extensions, and renewals.
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring contractual compliance and minimising legal exposure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of services and solutions as outlined in the contracts.
- Resolve contract-related disputes, negotiate favorable terms, and foster positive relationships with key stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in laws and regulations related to contracts and contractual obligations.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members on contract management processes and best practices.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, Law and/or Construction Management.
- Significant years of experience within a senior role, specifically within a major project environment within mining/construction industry.
- Strong understanding of contract law, negotiation techniques, and risk management.
- Proven ability to negotiate and close complex contracts, resulting in successful outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in leading and managing a team is preferred.
- Proficient in contract management software and MS Office Suite.
