Allianz Australia is looking for a
**Capital Management Actuary**; the primary purpose of this role is to provide for the effective execution of Allianz Australia’s capital management framework under APRA regulation and the provision of advice to senior management on capital and risk related business decisions.

Reporting to the Head of Capital Management the key areas of ‎responsibility will be to:

- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of capital management in conjunction with key business stakeholders, with a focus on the local capital model.
- Design, implement and manage controls and accountabilities for the identification of risks associated with capital management processes, with a focus on the local capital model.
- Incorporate expert knowledge of actuarial methodologies and concepts into analysis and recommendations.
- Provide insights from analysis to inform internal stakeholders and support key business decisions.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support analysis, initiatives and reporting in relation to the local internal capital model, business planning, reinsurance analysis, asset liability management, analysis of volatility and strategic projects.
- Contribute where relevant to broader AAL projects and initiatives.
- Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies with Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA) or equivalent.
- Significant experience in insurance actuarial capital management for a general insurer, ideally with exposure to working in the European and Australian markets.
- Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships internally and externally with clients, intermediaries and service providers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and empower people to develop individual and team potential.
- Demonstrated evidence of successfully leading and delivering projects within time, budget and resource constraints and sustaining outcomes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
