The opportunity:
We have an opportunity available for a Group Pricing Actuary to join our Group Pricing team at AIA in either Melbourne or Sydney. - Price new group business tenders within the major accounts portfolio to deliver optimal profitable pricing outcomes to achieve growth and profit objectives
- Preparation of CPS 320 pricing reports, leading the governance and internal approval process
- Play a key role in the development of pricing and experience analysis models to improve insights into claims experience and pricing techniques
- Collaborate with the Data Analytics and Experience investigation team to deliver claims insights
- Price and/or review pricing of group new business tenders within the major accounts portfolio ensuring the terms are consistent with the AIA philosophy
- Provide coaching support to Pricing Analysts in the team
- Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by the Head of Pricing, Major Accounts and Portfolio Management in order to meet reasonable operational and/or other requirements.
- Demonstrated actuarial experience within either the financial services or life insurance industries
- Experience working within group pricing
- Tertiary qualification and being a fully qualified actuary (Fellow)
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong technical skills and a data driven focus
- A solid understanding of capital, profit and value measures and business drivers
- The ability to think outside the box where data may be limited.

At AIA, we’ve made a promise to help people live healthier, longer, better lives. And it starts with our own people.
- Access our training and development to build on your current skills
